Bricks & models

The Lego brick, an interlocking plastic piece made of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, can be assembled and connected in many ways to build objects including vehicles, buildings, and working robots, then taken apart and reused for new constructions. A universal system despite variation in individual pieces, it draws a large fan community around building competitions and custom creations, alongside films, games, and ten Legoland amusement parks. Six 2 × 4 bricks alone can be combined in 915,103,765 ways, and bricks made in 1958 still interlock with those produced today. Source
