Marvel

Marvel is the American comic book publisher behind Spider-Man, Wolverine, the Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Daredevil, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, and Captain Marvel, along with teams such as the Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Guardians of the Galaxy. Most of its characters operate in a single shared reality known as the Marvel Universe, with locations that mirror real-life places and many major characters based in New York City. Founded in 1939 by Martin Goodman as Timely Comics, it became a property of the Walt Disney Company in 2009, and its well-known villains include Doctor Doom, Magneto, Green Goblin, Kingpin, Red Skull, Loki, Ultron, Thanos, Apocalypse, and Galactus.
