Retro gaming

Retro gaming is the playing and collection of personal computers, consoles, and video games from earlier decades, usually based upon systems that are outmoded or discontinued, and it is typically done for nostalgia, preservation, or authenticity. Players are drawn to it by nostalgia for different eras, the idea that older games are more innovative and original, and the simplicity of the games. It can be pursued on original hardware or through emulation on modern hardware. Source
